 Hello and welcome to our new  13arts Instagram challenge, with beautiful soft pastel colours. I used for my background paper a sheet from the  Industrial Zone paper collection. For my embellishments I used the  Memory Lane paper collection. For texture behind my cluster I used the multipurpose gel medium and  pink glitter to a stencil.  Happy New Year my dear followers, I hope you had a good start in 2023. We had a wonderful party with our neighbours, without fireworks.... Our city has decided to ban fireworks, because of all the injuries, the mess and the air pollution. I fully support this decision of the politicans from our city.  We must do more so does our children and grand children can also enjoy our beautiful earth. Every bit counts... But anyway. The first of each months means also there is a CHALLENGE from the company  13arts . The challenge mood board is below! I created for the challenge a scrapbook layout in mixed media style. I used therefore the beautiful Secret Garden paper . For more intrest on my background paper I painted the stripes with different Color Glows. The blue one with Larimar and Sodalite Color Glow  and the green one with Jadeit and Emerald Color Glow.  Hello everyone, did you miss me? I am back after a long break. This is my first scrapbook page in mixed media style for the company 13arts. Awesome right!!  My page is inspierd from the mood board which comes with soft pink colors. Perfect for the new paper collection "Magnolia dreams" Pink is my favorite color...is the title of my page. I used two paper sheets called postcard from Paris and magic door for my background. Lots of stitching on the paper for more texture and interest. Pink is my favorite color.... A closer look to my scrapbook layout.. I like to use as embellishments DIE cutting elements. Therefore I use usually the 6by6 inch paper pad from 13arts. So I decided to create a pastel color art journal page in honor of the upcoming spring. The word PERFECT is glued as a little piece from my dictionary and for the creative challenge I followed the sketch vertical. Heike: The month of March is my favorite month of the year. Not because it is my birthday month it is also world womens day on the 8th of March. Therefore the word"CARPE DIEM" is also my honor to Mother Teresa. In my eyes she lived her life  according to the word "CARPE DIEM". She sacrificed herself to the poor, sick and dying people. In it she saw the value of life, her personal "CARPE DIEM". The Mother Teresa image is from ScrapFX. I painted the word "CARPE DIEM" with black watercolor. For the creative challenge "MARKMAKING"  I used Stabilo woodys 3 in 1 and Crayons for my "MARKMAKING"  and as you can see I used the whole background, that was fun!! Here is the link: https://www.instagram.com/13arts/?hl=en Our March mood board: This is such a beautiful soft color challenge board. Perfect for spring. I decided to create my inspiration for you this time on a white background paper which I covered with white gesso for more texture. After that I added a layer of Acrylic medium and Color Glow. My Color Glow color is : Blue Saphire I repeat the step with a different Color Glow color, this time I used: Ruby. My next step was stencil and stamp work. So much fun... Creating to me is like finding my inner self, my soul. It gives me a great joy to see my creative corner in our livingroom.
