Hello Scrap Fx fans, How are you? We are in the last 10 days of our lockdown. Honestly, slowly I am happy when a normal life can be lived again. I wish all of us in this world that the vaccine will produce the desired result. But anyway... today it is my turn to inspire you to create with the beautiful products of  Scrap Fx Australia.  Here is the link to Scrap Fx:  http://www.scrapfx.com.au/store/ I created a whimsical scrapbook page, with a photo of a children fashion magazine. Always... I created my page on glossy paper.  Unfortunately, there are delivery problems of the glossy paper.  So I had to come up with something for myself.  I've been experimenting with my mediums that I have at home,  and honestly, the best result I got was mixing gel medium, acrylic medium and a little bit acrylic base gesso. I applied two layers of the mix on my cardstock. And I dried the whole thing not with the heat tool but on the air, the heat tool makes the gel medium bubble through the heat. Th

Hello my dear blog reader, welcome to my first blog post for the company ScrapFx. Our New Year here in The Netherlands started with rain rain and rain. I love rainfall and I think my garden too :) I can`t wait for the garden season to start again. At this moment I am in the process of making the first orders for my garden. This year I want to plant a so-called bee tree. After three years I finally found a garden store here in The Netherlands who sells a tree like that. Yeah!! But anyway. Paint your own reality. On the photo is my youngest daughter Mia. This page is actually super easy. I used Distress Ink for my background and over that black stamp images. Highlight with a contrast color. Transparency, a black and white photo and a flower images pin as embellishments. This art journal page has a background from my geliplate left over paint. More precisely:  the left over paint on my brayer which I added always on DIN4 paper. This kind of paint backgrounds is perfect for beginners. I a

Hello everyone,  and welcome to my first single blog post in 2021. I like the month January. I welcome the silence that follows the hectic holidays season. The silence in the forest, the emptiness in the nature. The short, gray, dark days. A new chapter is waiting to be wirtten, hopefully with lots of love, happiness, health and luck for me, my family and for you my dear blogreader as well. Learn from Yesterday,  Live for Today, Hope for Tomorrow. -Albert Einstein- I have for you a scrapbook page in mixed media style. After years of collecting the beautiful vintage photos from Tim Holtz and other companies I decided I will create this year lots of projects with them. The following scrapbook page has also one photo of my photo collection. Let`s start: IMAGINE A closer look: For my DIE cutting I love to use the 6 by 6 inch paper pads from 13@rts and for the finishing touch of the DIE cutting images I love to highlight with embossing powder and Color Glow. For the paper edges on my focal

Hello everyone,  and welcome to my dt member inspiration for the new challenge on the blog from More than Words. Here is the link:  More Than Words (morethanwordschallenge.blogspot.com) https://morethanwordschallenge.blogspot.com/ Beginnings... The word "BEGINNINGS" inspired me to create a scrapbook layout with a snow covered flower-plant photo, so at least it is in the nature of the month January. But unfortunately it is not so. We haven`t seen snow here in The Netherlands for a long time. But I can dream about it, right? I scribbled the word "BEGINNINGS" with a pencil on my background.  For the creative challenge "WASHI TAPE" I tore washi tape in little pieces and added to my background and I added washi tape with a photo image of Marilyn Monroe also to my background. MTW mood board:    There will no longer be Runner Up, Random, or Mystery winners for our Main Challenge.   This year we have changed to a Regional Prize structure, whereby there will be mu

Happy New Year my dear blog reader, I wish you all the best, happieness, health and luck for 2021. Let`s start this New Year with the 13@rts challenge which comes with a beautiful rusty mood board now on Instagram. #13artsJan21 Here is the mood board. I created a thin canvas board in mixed media style. I bought years ago a vintage looking doorknob and finally I had an idea to use this beauty. The beautiful new door stencil from 13@rts was perfect for what I had in mind. Here is a little description about my thin canvas board. 1. I painted the canvas board with black gesso. The size from my board are 25cm x 25cm. 2. I glued the paper sheet which I thorned first to my base. 3. I added clear gesso. 4 I mixed  rainbow color orange and texture powder and multipurpose medium together. 5. I added the mix to the door stencil and to the tattered diamonds stencil. 6. I glued my focale point with embellishments to my board. 7. I added my vintage doorknob with multipurpose medium. 8. Next day I a
