Scrap Fx Australia DT Member Post #2Jan2020

Hello my dear blog reader,

can you believe it: the first month of 2020 is already over... time flies so fast.

I had a beautiful month filled with lots of happiness and laughter.

We had a proud moment in January.
Our second son, Joshua finished his study with a very good degree.
Well done, son !!

But anyway I will inspire you with a scrapbook layout and an art journal page.

Let`s start.

Memory...

For people who are new on this blog, I really love to create with lots of black color. I love the dramatic of this beautiful color. I know there are lots of artists who are afraid of this color and they called this color a No-Go color but for me that is a Go-Go color.
I started my art journal page in one of my altered art journaling books, which was actually an old history book.
My first color is always black gesso.
Black stands for a sensation of color and brightness. Black is an uncolored color. I know that many people think that the color black is always the same, that is not the case, it is based on the mixing ratio of the primary colors. There are 149 words for the color black in the German language and 30 words in the English language. Awesome and fascinating, right!!

A quote from Munia Khan,(she is an author in poetry, born 1981) over the color black:

"All shadows of clouds the sun cannot hide
                                     like the moon cannot stop oceanic tide;
but a hidden star can still be smiling
at night`s black spell on darkness, beguiling."

some close up photos.

The color black is always a little bit picking through the layers of color, I really love this effect.

One of my favorite stencil from Scrap Fx is: Flower Bud Stencil in the photo above

Transparency sheets from ScrapFx are perfect for highlights and finishing touches.
There are lots of designs. You should really go to visit the page of Scrap Fx once. I'm sure you'll find something there that you need.

My next inspiration is a  grunge- abstract scrapbook page, with a photo from pixabay free photo images.
I used 7 Dots studio paper which I colored randomly with yellow and black acrylic color.
After that I glued the photo and the beautiful collage rise paper from ScrapFX, designed from Michelle Logan on my background
A little bit scribbeling with a black and white posca pen, stamping with Archival black jet Ink.
Tim Holtz small talk stickers and my layout was done.

Behind the paper curtains...

Scrap Fx Australia DT Member Post #1Jan2020

Hello my dear blog reader,

Your  ART is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great ART. And the only way to do great ART is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. (S.Jobs) (I just replaced WORK with ART ...)

Now January is almost over. How bad, I love this month. With the cold, rainy days that don't get really bright without sunlight. Nature sleeps in winter, simply fantastic.

January is also the month to reflect on the old year, I am proud of what I have done.
I am proud of my growth in my ART!!
I owe that my dear blog reader to you. Thank you so much for coming back on my blog to read my  post, thank you so much for your comments on my social media pages. All this makes me very happy and inspired to make new projects for you.

But anyway, lets start with my first dt member inspiration.

I created a birthday card with the lovely fairy stamp and the flower stamp from Scrap Fx.
This idea does not come from me. There are plenty YouTube tutorials for these sunset shadow stamp creating  process. I was inspired by Tracey Lavinia working on the gelli plate with Brusho powder.
Of course, I did my own interpretation of this technique.

Happy Birthday...

My second inspiration is a scrapbook layout with a photo from Pixabay free photo images.

it`s 5:00 somewhere...

You know I love to create my own background in grunge style.
And also sad photos.... I think that makes the page more dramatic and expressively stronger.
I know most scrapbookers want to capture happy photo moments on their layouts. I, on the other hand, find precisely these moments in life that are not exactly happy, memorable. Maybe it's because I live a very happy life, that just these photos attract me. Who knows?

I stareted on a sheet of white cardstock and I added a layer of clear Gesso.
My favorite Gesso is from 13@rts.
Then I added a layer of Archival Ink in the color Paradise Teal.
After that I added randomly Lindy embossing powder in the color Guten Tag Teal on the wet Archival Ink and then I heat emboss it.
My next step was the new collage paper from Scrap Fx.
After that I added some stamp images.
Stencil work with Distress Ink in the color candied apple and black acrylic.
Splattering with Lindys Sprays in the color Rudolphs nose red and Time travel teal.
Scribbeling with Posca pens in black and white.
Embellishments are transparency, chipboard and silhouette from Scrap Fx.
Finishing touch word sticker and black glitter.

I really appricate that.
Hugs and love

Nomadic Soul Diaries layout inspiration #1/2020

Hallo everyone,

I started my year with many hours on my craft-table.

That is what I really like and that is my focus for this year. I decided to work every day at my craft table and to be creatively busy.  I have noticed that these hours are good for my health. I switch off my thoughts and enjoy the here and now.

"Why live an ordinary life, when you can live an extraordinary one" ( A. Robbins)

My creative design for today is a scrapbook-page,
inspired from the January moodbard on the IG account from
Nomadic Soul Diaries.

The moodboard from Nomadic Soul Diaries.

 Here are the rules
1.
use at least three colors from the moodboard.

I used Archival Ink in the color: Pink Peony, Magenta Hue and Aquamarine.
( Black, White and Zilver are neutral colors)

2.
Add flowers to your project.

I used flower stamp images on the background and DIE cut flowers as embellishments.
My focal point (photo) is with my favorite flower, Paonien.

3.
Let yourself be inspired by the quote.
and tell how you were inspired by the quote?

In addition to my passion for scrapbooking, I like to work in our garden. Three years ago I completely re-created our garden. I have created a bee, bird, butterfly and insects garden.
In my garden there are a lot of flowers and one of them is the beautiful Paonien flower. It blooms most of May until July. I often catch myself walking into the garden alone during this time to admire this beautiful plant. Then I think in silence my life is actually pretty AMAZING with a place that looks like a piece of heaven.

4.
Create a layout or canvas.

I created a scrapbook layout 30 cm by 30 cm for you as inspiration.

I would be happy if I could inspire you to take part in the challenge.
So if you have an account on instagram then check out @nomadicsouldiaries. There are super great prizes to win, so as:
 25 $ voucher from @lindysgang,
50 Euro mixed media kit from @thepapadisecorner,
 25 Euro voucher from @latiendadelasmanualidades,
 a goodie bag from @dusty_attic,
 25 Euro voucher from @creative_corner,
25 Euro coucher from @dies_fantasy and
 a goodies bag from @13arts.
 Awesome right.

All the Links are under my design team member photo.

I also used on my layout:
White cardstock, Sandras Hobbyshop stencil Nr. 071,
Clear stamp flower craft sensations, Lindys spray in the color bodacious blush and alpine ice rose,
Loast coast Design Angel stamp, Tim Holtz attic treasures CMS123 stamp, Wow black embossing powder, Black acrylic old Holland.

Thank you so much for visiting my blogpost.
until then.
xoxo
