Christmas Special Post 13@rts "Santa is coming to town"

and welcome to the special blog post for the company 13@rts.

Our design team special post is all about "Christmas".

I created a scrapbook layout in mixed media style in the colors  light blue and red.

The inspiration comes from the Christmas photo from a magazine

Christmas is always something very special, with the decoration. Every year I think again, I should change my colors of the Christmas decoration. Normally I have red, pink and rosegold as colors for my Christmas decoration. My new favorite combination is: blue, brown and rosegold. Let's see if I'm going to change it this year... I still have a bit of time to think about it.

Santa is coming to town.... is my title for my scrapbook page.


My perfect Christmas red is a mix from Rainbow Color scarlet, Watercolor-set the red color and Ayeeda Medium liquid medium. 
For the light blue, I used white gesso and Color Glow blue saphire.
For the stencil work, I used: Gel medium and Rainbow Color scarlet and WOW sherbert embossing powder.
I cuted the animals from the paper collection:  "travel the world" after that I embossed with Distress glaze embossing powder.
My chipboards are painted with the New acrylic inks in black and turquoise, (word Beautiful and Christmas)
The flower chipboards are painted with chalk blue light mist spray and finish touch with Finnabair wax.

Live Your Life

 Good morning everyone, how are you today? The last few days, we had wonderful sunny days here in The Netherlands. Perfect for a summer scrapbook layout in mixed media style, right? I played along with Tim Holtz snapshot photos, a couple on a beach. The yellow color on my page stands for the sun and the blue watercolor for the sea. Don`t we all want to live our lives as we please? Since I no longer have obligations as a designer in design teams. I am free for my other hobbies, so as gardening, reading and fitness. I am busy converting my garden entirely to a permakultur garden following the method of Ruth Stout. After three years of a warm and dry summers I can see and feel the climat change in our garden. After that, I would also like to grow more of our own vegetables,  new plant beds had to be created. What a beautiful way to spent the time outside. Hello everyone, today I have for you a layout which I have created for the current challenge at 13arts. They have a beautiful mood board with rich colors. Thank you Anguree for your inspiration and for the mood board. At the beginning of my new series, I still glued young women faces on my layouts, but I quickly came to the conclusion that it looks good but not good enough for me.
