Scrapbook layouts and art journal page for the company Scrap Fx

 Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blog post for the company Scrap Fx Australia.

Here is the link: http://www.scrapfx.com.au/blog/

The month of February stands for romantic, love and roses,

but there is so much more.

The ending of winter and the sensuality of spring begins.

The dark nights are getting shorter and the daylight is getting more bright.

The first birds come back from the winter quarters

and delight me with their beautiful morning singing.

But anyway.

I created with the February release "Steampunk"

two scrapbook layouts and one art journal page.

Steampunk in blue..

A closer look to my page:

I chose for my focale point another vintage photo image from my stash,

which I covered with a white wash first and than crackle glaze for an altered effect.

The wings are from ScrapFx transparency sheet.

The round number image is a stamp image also from ScrapFx.

I stamped the number with versa mark ink and over that

I added cafe au lait embossing powder from Lindy.

For the chipboard in the color green I used Ranger Distress Crayon and for the blue chipboard

Color Glow Topaz from 13arts.

For my background I used a 13arts Dreamland paper sheet and I started with random stamp work.

I used the Chains stamp and cogs stamp from Scrap Fx.

Than I added to the kites stencil from ScrapFx a mix of

Multipurpose gel medium and Color Glow Tourmaline from 13arts.

The star is from a ScrapFx transparency sheet.

Perfect view to the stamp and stencil work.

I added also the Chains stamp on my background and therefore I used black WOW embossing powder.

I used from Scrap Fx:

Grungy stars transparency

Inside number stamp

Fairy Wings transparency

Chain stamp

Cogs stamp

2020301 Chains mixed chipboard
2020323 Kites stencil
Collage chipboard

My second page :

Stempunk in pink/red.

And a closer look to my page.

I used a paper sheet from the Victoriana paper collection from 13arts.

For my embellishments I used 2020311 Meshed Gears which I cut in different round shapes

but first I glued the collage paper on a sheet of white cardstock.

The number comes from a transparency sheet from Scrap Fx.

I colored the cogs with red and orange rainbow colors from 13arts.

I painted one half of my paper with black gesso and then I stamped with versa mark ink

and the cogs stamp. After that I added embossing powder in silver.

I mixed gel medium, glitter, microbeads and rainbow color together and I used this mix to the kites stencil.

Perfect view of my background.

I used the same products from Scrap Fx for this page as above and a little bit more.

I used from Scrap Fx:
2020311 Meshed Gears collage paper
Cogs chipboard

And last but not least my art journal page on a DIN4 watercolor paper.

Lots of paint layers, stamp layers with embossing ink created a beautiful grunge effect.

The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.

I used from Scrap Fx:
2020291B Top Hat Man black silhouette
2020324 Mesh stencil
