February IG challenge 13@rts

 Hello and welcome

to my Instagram challenge inspiration for the company 13@rts.

I created a scrapbook layout in mixed media style.

Our mood board is a beautiful colorful board.

I was immediately inspired by the photo in the left corner.

The lilac- dark violet color with a touch of yellow and the lemon green, just perfect for

what I had in mind. Years ago I took a photo with my smartphone from the 

hairdresser- magazine during my visit by the hairdresser. 

I started on a sheet paper from the Dreamland paper collection from 13@rts

which I covered completely with a mix of Rainbow color, color glow and Acrylic medium.

After my background was dry I added black Gesso to a  window-shutter stencil from 13@rts.

For an abstract look of the window-shutter stencil images I turned the stencil horizontal.

My next step was again with a stencil.

I added this time a mix of Modeling paste with Color Glow to the stencil.

I let the background dry over night.

I added on the next day white acrylic strips with a small brush

 and four different colors of Mist from 13@rts in the color: 

chalk woodbine, chalk dirty pink, pearl bordeaux and chalk lilac. 

This time I dried my background with the Heat Tool.

Only a little metalic shine from the Color Glows was missing on my page.

First I applied beeswax and over that Color Glow in the colors: citrine, lolite 

and emerald. 

Then was it time for my embellishments and paper layers and 3D effects mediums.

I really love how my scrapbook page come together with all the mediums and 

papers and embellishments from 13@rts.

 And well that started all with a photo from a hairdresser- magazine.


A closer look:
I added on the metal heart the rust effect products from 13@rts first.
After that I painted with Rainbow colors and Color Glow.



On the photo below you can see how the two stencils match perfectly together.
The window shutter stencil with black gesso and the dreamland stencil with a 
mix from modelingpaste and Color Glow.


I added on the Lady face transparency folie and word cardstock from 13@rts.
I painted the beautiful flower from 13@rts with Color Glow and I made handrolled paper flowers from the paper collection Rosalie. Bella fuzzy cut elements as embellishments next to my photo.

Live Your Life

 Good morning everyone, how are you today? The last few days, we had wonderful sunny days here in The Netherlands. Perfect for a summer scrapbook layout in mixed media style, right? I played along with Tim Holtz snapshot photos, a couple on a beach. The yellow color on my page stands for the sun and the blue watercolor for the sea. Don`t we all want to live our lives as we please? Since I no longer have obligations as a designer in design teams. I am free for my other hobbies, so as gardening, reading and fitness. I am busy converting my garden entirely to a permakultur garden following the method of Ruth Stout. After three years of a warm and dry summers I can see and feel the climat change in our garden. After that, I would also like to grow more of our own vegetables,  new plant beds had to be created. What a beautiful way to spent the time outside. Guest Design Layout

 Hello everyone, and welcome to my second Guest Design project for the company  Shimmerz Paints . Once again I played along with the May release called "Flower Power Honey" This is such a beautiful Kit in soft pastel, brown and orange colors. The Kit includes also Vibez, Blingz and Shimmerz- fussy cutting paper, and decoration elements. If you like the vibe of the seventies this is your paper collection. Pauls Class... A closer look to my background work: For my background I used two of the beautiful paper sheets. But I shortened 2 cm from the top paper sheet,  so that the bottom paper sheet looks out at the edges. This is such a beautiful frame as well. Next I used two layers of clear Gesso on the front side and one layer of clear Gesso on the back side from my background paper. After my Gesso was dry, I added gel medium to a stencil and then I sprinkled randomly embossing glaze on the wet gel medium. After my embossing glaze was heat embossed I played along with the Shimmer
