Image
Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog post for the company Scrap Fx Australia. Here is the link:  http://www.scrapfx.com.au/blog/ The month of February stands for romantic, love and roses, but there is so much more. The ending of winter and the sensuality of spring begins. The dark nights are getting shorter and the daylight is getting more bright. The first birds come back from the winter quarters and delight me with their beautiful morning singing. But anyway. I created with the February release "Steampunk" two scrapbook layouts and one art journal page. Steampunk in blue.. A closer look to my page: I chose for my focale point another vintage photo image from my stash, which I covered with a white wash first and than crackle glaze for an altered effect. The wings are from ScrapFx transparency sheet. The round number image is a stamp image also from ScrapFx. I stamped the number with versa mark ink and over that  I added cafe au lait embossing powder from Lindy. For th...

February IG challenge 13@rts

Image
Hello and welcome to my Instagram challenge inspiration for the company 13@rts. I created a scrapbook layout in mixed media style. Our mood board is a beautiful colorful board. I was immediately inspired by the photo in the left corner. The lilac- dark violet color with a touch of yellow and the lemon green, just perfect for what I had in mind. Years ago I took a photo with my smartphone from the  hairdresser- magazine during my visit by the hairdresser.  I started on a sheet paper from the Dreamland paper collection from 13@rts which I covered completely with a mix of Rainbow color, color glow and Acrylic medium. After my background was dry I added black Gesso to a  window-shutter stencil from 13@rts. For an abstract look of the window-shutter stencil images I turned the stencil horizontal. My next step was again with a stencil. I added this time a mix of Modeling paste with Color Glow to the stencil. I let the background dry over night. I added on the next day whi...
