ScrapFx Australia #1 Scrapbook Layout and Art Journal Page

 Hello my dear blog reader,

welcome to my first blog post in the month of December for the company Scrap Fx.

I created for you one scrapbook layout in mixed media style and one art journal page.

We have here in The Netherlands cold, frosty days and I am so glad that our house is now warm and cosy with the new Kingspan isolation.

Since Monday we have a lockdown here in The Netherlands until 19.01.2021.

Hopefully, we have the virus then behind us and the vaccine shows us the first effect.

But anyway, my Christmas layout has a non Christmas color combination, at least for me.

Cobalt blue with a bright yellow color on a dark red background and white highlights.

I started on  yellow cardstock with a layer of clear gesso.

After that I cut a sheet of the 13arts Victorian paper collection in stripes.

Then I painted the edges with cobalt blue acrylic color and I glued the stripes to the

yellow cardstock.

After that I paint a little bit with the yellow and cobalt blue acrylic color and I added a mix of red acrylic and gel medium to one of my favorite stencil of Scrapfx.

Black ink stamping was my next step.

For the chipboards from Scrapfx I used the color combination dark red and cobalt blue acrylic

and I highlight the chipboards with Finnabair wax.

The eye on my focal point is actually a collage paper image from Scrapfx which I glued on  white cardstock and after that I added a layer clear embossing powder also.

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas is my title

A closer look:

I used from Scrapfx:

Number Crunch stamps

Flower Buds stencil used with a mix: gel medium and acrylic color.

Moroccan frame chipboard

Face Features rice paper eye image on my focal point.

I also used:
White lace, yellow and blue pearls, blue wire, white snowballs, vintage photo image, glitter Old Holland acrylic color, Posca pen,
13@rts paper and mediums, Versafine black ink, WOW clear embossing, left over fuzzy cut images and DIE cut leaves.

My next inspiration is an art journal page.

DREAM.

You know already that I love DIN4 art journal pages.

On this page I chose my color combination first. Blue, lilac, ochre and orange.

Black and white as neutral colors.

The photo is from Tim Holtz. One of the washi tapes is from Jane Davenport.

The tiny word stickers are from 13@rts.

I started with the beautiful stencil of ScrapFx. This stencil comes with the same design as stamp.

A perfect combination for art journalers and scrapbookers.

I used from Scrap Fx:

2020289 Dream Phrase stencil

Circles & Squares stamp
